UPSC has Announced Civil Services Exam Result

For the prestigious civil services exam that took place in 2020, results were released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday. Among the 761 candidates recommended to be appointed to civil service positions across the country, the UPSC shared data with the media. The UPSC has recommended 545 male candidates and 216 female candidates that have cleared the examination. Thirteen men and twelve women comprise the top 25 candidates. A further 25 people with Benchmark Disability have been recommended (7 people with orthopaedic disabilities, 4 people with vision disabilities, 10 people with hearing impairments, and 4 people with multiple disabilities).

UPSC Civil Services Exam Results 2020 display Shubham Kumar as the top-ranking graduate from IIT Bombay studying B Tech (Civil Engineering), followed by Jagriti Awasthi as the top-ranked female. A graduate in B Tech (Electrical Engineering) from MANIT Bhopal. In the overall rankings, Ankita Jain has come in third. Each year, the UPSC conducts three stages of civil service examinations -- preliminary, main and interview -- to select officers of various services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and the Indian Police Service (IPS).

The UPSC Civil Service Exam 2020 list of top 10 rank holders are as follows:

1st Rank: Shubham Kumar

2nd Rank: Jagrati Awasthi

3rd Rank: Ankita Jain

4th Rank: Yash Jaluka

5th Rank: Mamita Yadav

6th Rank: Meera K

7th Rank: Praveen Kumar

8th Rank : Jivani Kartik Nagjibhai

9th Rank: Apala Mishra

10th Rank: Satyam Gandhi

The shortlist for the IAS post will be 180 candidates, the list for IFS 36 candidates and the list for IPS 200 candidates. The central services group A will fill 302 vacancies and the group B will fill 118.

According to an official notice, UPSC stated that appointments to the various service will be made based on vacancies available and the rules of the examination. Students with errors or questions regarding their results may contact UPSC. A help desk has been set up near the examination hall at the UPSC campus, according to UPSC.
