Prime Minister Modi Going to Launch Indian Space Association (ISpA) on October 11
A public meeting of Narendra Modi will launch the Indian Space Association (ISpA) on October 11, which is tasked with representing the Indian space industry. This event will also provide him with an opportunity to interact with representatives of this sector.
A primary responsibility of ISpA is to exercise policy advocacy by involving all stakeholders, including government agencies, in the Indian space domain.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, ISpA will improve India's self-reliance, technological advancement, and competitive position in the international space arena, reflecting the prime minister's vision of the 'Aattanirbhar Bharat'. In addition to homegrown companies, ISpA members include major international companies with specialized talents in space and satellite technologies.
OneWeb, Bharti Airtel, Mapmyindia, Walchandnagar Industries and Ananth Technology Limited are among Larson & Toubro, Nelco (Tata Group), and OneWeb are its founding members. Other core members identified by the PMO include Godrej, Hughes, Aerospace BST, BEL, Centum Electronics and Maxar India.
