Jawahar Kala Kendra 30th Foundation Day - 3 Days Festival will be Organized

On the foundation day of Jawahar Kala Kendra, a three-day event will be organized. Mrs. Gayatri Rathod, Principal Secretary, Department of Art, Literature, Culture, and Archeology, Government of Rajasthan, and Director General of Jawahar Kala Kendra, will inaugurate Jawahar Kala Kendra's Foundation Day celebrations on April 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.

Sarwar Khan and Sartaj Khan Manganiyar (Dangal Movie Singer) will both perform in Jaipur. Jawahar Kala Kendra turns 30 this year on April 8th. From the 8th to the 10th of April, many programs will be held to commemorate JKK Foundation Day. The event will include a variety of theatre, visual arts, literature, and music-related activities. From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a craft and book fair.

The festival will begin at 11 a.m. on April 8th. Artists are going to promote the colors of the state's folk art with performances of Shehnai-Nagada, Kachhi Ghodi, Bahrupiya, Kathputli, Manav Kashtha, Kathputli, and Balam Choto So Folk Dance. The Doodle Wall in the Dome area will let visitors color their imaginations.

Jawahar Kala Kendra Foundation Day Celebration

Programs on JKK's 30th Foundation Day 2023:

  • The play 'Bade Bhai Saheb,' directed by Abhishek Goswami, will be performed at Rangayan Auditorium at 12 p.m.
  • The cultural evening, which will take place at 7 p.m. in Rangayan Auditorium, will be very special.
  • The Sand Dunes Collective will perform. Sarwar Khan and Sartaj Khan Manganiyar will appear as featured artists alongside Manzoor Khan Manganiyar. Sarwar and Sartaj appeared in the film 'Dangal,' where they sang.
  • Workshops will help to develop skills, and the exhibition will reflect the journey.
  • From April 8 to 10, the center will host a variety of workshops.
  • From morning to 4 p.m., a 'Mrinashilp' workshop will be held in Graphic Studio-1 under the direction of Prem Shankar of Molela, and a 'Storytelling' workshop for children will be held in Graphic Studio-2 under the direction of Pallavi Singh.
  • An exhibition of paintings collected by the center will be held in the rhinestone gallery on all three days from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. At the same time, a photography exhibition in the Alankar Gallery will provide a glimpse of the center's 30-year journey.
  • Films interviewing history will be shown in the Sujas Gallery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., thanks to the Centre's special efforts.
