IT Giant Infosys is in the Process of Buying Denmark's Life Science Company:
The purchase can be finalized, according to Infosys, in the second quarter of the financial year 2022–23. (FY23). In this transaction, Infosys will acquire the Denmarks' life science company BASE Life Science.
Infosys, the second-largest IT firm in India, is actively growing its clientele abroad, particularly in Europe. The business will enter into a new agreement in this regard. In this transaction, Infosys will acquire the Denmark life science business BASE Life Science. On Wednesday, Infosys itself provided the stock markets with information regarding this acquisition.
Approximately 110 million euros, or 875 crore rupees, will be spent on this transaction, according to Infosys. Through this agreement, Infosys will improve both its position in Europe and its life science expertise. Regarding this agreement, Infosys President Ravi Kumar S stated, "This deal would strengthen Infosys' competence in the field of life sciences." Additionally, by doing so, the business will strengthen its position in the Nordic region of Europe and increase the potential for digital transformation in cloud-based business solutions. Infosys will profit greatly from the acquisition of Base. Denmark, Switzerland, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain are currently countries where BASE Life Science has a presence. The company presently works with about 200 industry professionals. As a result of the agreement with Infosys, Base Life Sciences will diversify its product offering to include MedTech, genomics, consumer and animal health, and consumer and animal health.
