CBSE Class 12 Exams Postponed and Class 10th Exams Cancelled :
As the number of Covid-19 Corona cases are increasing at an alarming rate throughout the country, Class 12th examinations of the CBSE Board has been postponed and Class 10th examinations have been cancelled by the Board, stated by the Education Ministry in a press conference today. This decision came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting to review the present situation of Covid-19.
The CBSE Board examinations for Class 12th and 10th were supposed to be held from May 4th to June 14th. But keeping the present situation of Covid-19 in the country it was decided to postpone the examination for Class 12th since its result is used for admission in Higher Educational Institutes. CBSE has decided that they will review the situation again on the 1st of June and then Board will decide when will 12th CBSE Board examination can be conducted. A 15 days prior notice will be given to the students before conducting exams.
Class 10th students of CBSE Board Affiliated schools will be promoted to the next class and this objective criterion will be decided by the Board. CBSE and the Ministry of Education have said to clarify that if a student is not satisfied with allocated marks, then they will be allowed to write an exam when conditions will be normal.
As of now, 11 States have shut down the schools due to the second wave of Covid-19 Corona in the country. Many states are considering the rescheduling Board exam for Class 12th and 10th.
Rajasthan Government also planning to postpone RBSE Class 12th and 10th Exams, State's Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara in a meeting with Chief Minister & the others suggested that Class 12 and 10 Board exam should be postponed due to Covid-19 Corona situation in the state and Class 8 student should be promoted to next class. Corona cases are increasing in the state day by day so it's better to postpone the Board exam for now when the situation will be normal then the exam can be conducted.
