Bank Holiday in India: From March 17 to March 29, 2022, Banks Will Be Closed for 7 Days
There will be a seven-day closure of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) between March 17 and March 29, 2022. When customers with bank accounts step out to visit their local branch, it is important to note the bank holiday dates.
There are five listed bank holidays between March 17 and 29 according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). In response to the call from trade unions, state-owned banks will remain closed for two extra days. For those who must complete important tasks during the bank holiday, internet banking and mobile banking services are available. Furthermore, a few bank holidays are only applicable to public sector banks - which means that private sector bank branches will be open on these days.
There will be no banking on March 17 due to Holika Dahan, and many banks will be closed on March 18 due to Holi or Dhulandi. Furthermore, banks will be closed on March 20 due to Sunday.
There will be no banking services on March 26 (fourth Saturday) and March 27 (Sunday) of next week. As a result of the bank strikes called by trade unions, the public sector banks will be closed on March 28 and March 29.
