What is Emoji:

Emoji or Emojis are the picture characters used for electronic messages and web pages. The main purpose of the Emojis is to fulfil the emotional quotient in the digital conversation cause text is not able to show that. There are various genres of Emojis like emotions, places, animals etc. 

Emojis are the images used to show emotions on an online platform or on a smartphone conversation. Emojis can be expressed as an extension of early internet emoticons, face-like representations usually made up from a few punctuation marks.

Most of the people who are using Smartphones knows what is Emoji. Emoji has become a part of our life. Emoji has become a part of our everyday life. So, it’s important to celebrate this day.

Evolution of Emoji:

The Word Emojis comes from Japanese e (picture) + Moji (character). Emojis were first introduced in 1997 in Japan in Mobile Phones after that it’s gain popularity worldwide after 2010 when it was introduced in several other mobile operating systems. Face with the Tears of the Joy emoji was added to Oxford Dictionary in 2015 as the Word of the Year.

Every Year on 17 July World Emoji Day is celebrated. As per reports World Emoji Day is celebrated because of Jeremy Burge who is also the founder of Emojipedia which was created in 2014.

The reason behind celebrating World Emoji Day on 17 July is the Calendar Emoji. World Emoji Day is just not the celebration of one Emoji it is the celebration of all the Emojis.
