Ranjan Agnihotri and Tanushree Dutta Controversy: Vivek Agnihotri was accused harshly by Tanushree Dutta in 2018. She claimed that Vivek inappropriately treated her during the filming of Chocolate in 2005. In 2018, she revealed that Vivek Agnihotri, who directed the film, asked her to remove her clothes and dance with her male co-star, Irrfan Khan, when they needed to give a close-up shot. Later, Vivek Agnihotri filed a defamation suit against Tanushree Dutta and denied all the allegations.

Swara Bhaskar and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri Controversy: Twitter blocked Vivek's account when, in September 2018, he abused Indian Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar.
