Upcoming Smartphone Launch in January 2022
We are now in the year 2022. A lot of smartphone companies will launch new smartphones in India in the first month of 2022, according to a report. There will be numerous flagship smartphones coming out in January 2022, such as the Realme GT 2 series and the OnePlus 10 series, as well as mid-range devices such as the Xiaomi 11i series.
OnePlus 10 Series:
Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has unveiled its latest flagship. Starting on January 11, OnePlus is to launch two variants of its 10 series: the OnePlus 10, and the OnePlus 10 Pro, a high-end version. Its launch date is not yet officially announced, but a leaked teaser video showcasing the OnePlus 10 Pro suggests that's roughly when it will arrive. These devices have been the talk of the town for their expected features and specifications.
In terms of display, the OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to have a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED panel that offers a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels. A 120Hz refresh rate is claimed for the display. In addition to up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the handset will feature LPDDR5 memory.
A 50MP ultra-wide camera along with a 48MP main camera and an 8MP telephoto lens is expected to be offered by the OnePlus 10. The front camera is likely to be 32MP. Hasselblad's rear camera is rumored to be included with both smartphones. In terms of software, the smartphones will come preinstalled with OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12.
Realme GT 2 Series:
The Realme GT 2 Pro will be available in four colors: Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue, and three storage sizes: 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. With LTPO 2.0 Technology, the Realme GT 2 Pro offers a 2K AMOLED flat display. An advanced Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects the 2K UHD resolution screen with its 525 PPI resolution and advanced display technology.
This smartphone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform, which is built on the latest 4nm technology. In addition to its performance boosts of 30%, the system possesses the world's first ARM v9 architecture.
With its triple-camera setup and 150-degree ultra-wide camera, the smartphone boasts the only 40x micro-lens camera in the world. Featuring a 50MP IMX766 sensor with all-pixel PDAF and OIS, the 50MP primary camera comes with a flagship-level IMX766 sensor. In addition to 150-degree ultra-wide and the world's first fish-eye mode, Realme GT 2 Pro's 150-degree ultra-wide camera can shoot extreme panoramas.
In comparison, the Realme GT 2 features similar specifications to the GT 2 Pro, such as design, battery, Realme UI 3.0, and RAM. Powered by a powerful Snapdragon 888 5G processor, this smartphone boasts a 120Hz E4 AMOLED Display, stainless steel vapor cooling plus, and GT Mode 3.0. The Realme GT 2 will be available in four colors - Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue - and three storage options - 8GB+128GB, 8G+256GB, and 12G+256GB.
Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge:
With a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels, the 6.67-inch Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G has a Full HD+ display. This device features a 120Hz AMOLED display. A version of Android 11 runs on the cellular device.
A microSD card is available for expansion on the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G is packed with a triple camera setup consisting of a 108 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP macro sensor. There's a 16MP front camera as well. In addition to MediaTek Dimensity 920 processors, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G is equipped with 6GB/8GB of RAM.
In addition to its 4,500mAh battery, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge supports 120W fast charging. With only 15 minutes of charging, this smartphone can go from 0 to 100%. For the base configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G costs Rs. 26,999. In addition to the 8GB + 128GB version, the smartphone is priced at Rs. 28,999.
Starting on January 12, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G and Xiaomi 11i 5G will be available in India. There will be a range of retailers across Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and offline retailers that will offer both smartphones.
Vivo V23 Series:
A new Vivo V23 series of smartphones has been launched in India by global smartphone brand Vivo, which includes the Vivo V23 5G and the Vivo V23 Pro 5G. There is a 50MP Eye AF Dual Selfie camera and a color-changing back panel on the phones. Sunshine Gold and Stardust Black are the two colors available for both devices. It costs Rs 38,990 for the 8GB plus 128GB variant, Rs 43,990 for the 12GB plus 256GB variant, and Rs 29,990 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Vivo's V23 Pro and V23 will be available for purchase on Flipkart and Vivo's India E-store from January 13, 2022, and January 19, 2022, respectively.
According to Yogendra Sriramula, Director-Brand Strategy, Vivo India, the V23 is featuring India's first Fluorite AG Glass Design, which changes color with the light, a 50MP eye autofocus dual selfie, and a 108 MP rear camera. Featuring a flat frame design, V23 is made from aerospace-grade aluminum and is just 7.39 mm thin. It weighs only 179 grams and is 7.39 mm thick. The 6.56-inch and 6.44-inch AMOLED displays on the V23 Pro and V23 have Full-HD resolution.
The V23 series is the company's first handset to feature a 50MP sensor plus the first dual selfie camera powered by pixel isolation. These technologies allow the front camera to capture ample light and boost color authenticity, according to the company. There is a triple rear camera module on the V23 that combines an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 64MP night camera, and a 2MP super macro camera that also supports Super Night Mode.
It features an advanced 6nm processor based on the Dimensity 1200 chipset. Support for Dual 5G Standby is included. Dual 5G Standby is available on the V23 as well as VoNR supported by an advanced 6nm Dimensity 920 chipset. 12GB of RAM is available on both smartphones. They run Funtouch OS 12, which is built on Android 12. In thirty minutes, V23 Pro can be charged from 1% to 63 percent with 44W FlashCharge.
Infinix 5G Smartphone:
India's first 5G phone will reportedly be launched under the Rs 20,000 price range by Infinix. There is also a possibility that the phone will be the first 5G device from the company in the country, as well as competing with devices like the Lava Agni and the Redmi Note 11T.
