Meera Bai was a big devotee of Lord Krishna. Meera Bai (1498-1573) was a devotee of Lord Krishna and meera bai was a very good poetess. Her poetry was colored with the love of Lord Krishna devotion. Meera Bai has composed beautiful posts of lord krishna devotion in each of her poems. Meera Bai was also Called Hari Devotee along with Krishna Bhakta because she lived in devotion of Lord Krishna all the time, she had a relationship with Krishna, Girdhar, Hari before any other worldly relationship.
Early and Personal Life-
Meera Bai was born in 1498 in Merta (Kurki) in the house of Ratan Singh Ji, the fourth Son of Dudaji. She was interested in Krishna devotion from her childhood. Meera Bai was married to the Sisodiya Raj family of Mewar. Her husband was Bhojraj, the Maharaja of Udaipur who was the son of Maharana Saanga of Mewar. Her husband died shortly after their marriage. After the death of her husband, the family members started forcing her to have Sati with her husband, but Meera Bai did not agree to do so since then the family also became one sided and Meera Bai on others, husband was also cremated in her absence.
Even after the death of her husband, Meera Bai did not change the way she lived before, as she used to consider Girdhar (Lord Krishna) as her husband. She used to do Hari Kirtan and spend all her time in Lord Krishna devotion after her husband's death. Even after the death of her husband her devotion was kept increasing day by day.
Meera's devotion towards Krishna
She had become a true devotee of Lord Krishna, who loves Lord Krishna only. She used to go to temples and sing & dance in front of the idol of Krishna, but her family did not like this attitude of her, on which the family also tried to kill her. After that, upset by the family, Meera Bai went towards Dwarka and Vrindavan. People used to give love and respect to the Goddess Bai in Krishna devotion. Meera Bai had reached that great state where there is no duality, there is only one. Both Meera and Krishna had become one. Meera had become "Krishna". You cannot test that great state of love where you can't distinguise that who is devotee & who is God, this is that stage. Meera was not only in love with Krishna but also she used to do selfless devotional service to Krishna throughout her life.

Death of Meera Bai
Finally Meera bai died in 1556 at Dwarka State. Nobody know how she died. There are many theories regarding the same. She is a celebrated Bhakti Saint, particularly in the North Indian Hindu tradition Hindu temples, such as Chittorgarh fort are dedicated to Meerabai memory.
