2. Details of Some Important International and National Days in September 2023:

 
September 1st to 7th: National Nutrition Week – The Food and Nutrition Board, a division of the Ministry of Women and Child Development of India, sponsors National Nutrition Week (NNW) each year from September 1 through September 7, with the goal of increasing public awareness of and understanding of the importance of nutrition.

September 3rd: Skyscraper Day – Skyscraper Day was established on September 3 to honor Louis Sullivan, who is regarded as the "Father of Modern Skyscrapers" and was born in Boston on that date in 1856. Sullivan was the first master architect of high-rise structures.

The first steel-framed 10-story skyscraper, the now-demolished Home Insurance Building, was designed by William LeBaron Jenney, an engineer, in Chicago, where Sullivan worked. National Skyscraper Day is a wonderful occasion for us to recognize the architectural and engineering wonders that have become rather typical in modern society.

September 5th: Teachers’ Day – Since 1962, India has observed Teachers' Day on September 5 to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a former president of the nation who was also a scholar, philosopher, and recipient of the Bharat Ratna award, who was born on that date in 1888.

September 15th: Engineer’s Day in India – Engineer's Day is celebrated on numerous dates throughout the year in many different nations. India celebrates Sir M. Visvesvaraye's birth anniversary in 1968 in his honor as a famous engineer who was instrumental in the construction of several noteworthy structures, including the Krishna Raja Sagar dam in Karnataka.

September 29th: International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste – International Food Loss and Waste Awareness Day are celebrated on September 29. 4. Indian Fair and Festivals in September 2023

 
September 6 & 7, 2023: Janmasthami – The sacred festive of Janmashtami is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country each year. The celebration, also known as Gokulashtami, Shrikrishna Jayanti, Krishnasthami, and Krishna Janmashtami, occurs on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapad.

According to Drik Panchang, Janmashtami will happen on successive days this year since Rohini Nakshatra and Ashtami Tithi fall during the night on Janmashtami. While Ashtami Tithi begins at 3:37 pm on September 6 and ends at 4:14 pm on September 7, Rohini Nakshatra begins at 9:20 am on September 6 and ends at 10:25 am on September 7. As a result, Janmashtami will be celebrated on both days. While Janmashtami is celebrated on September 6, Dahi Handi is celebrated on September 7.

September 19, 2023: Ganesh Chaturthi – Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festivity observing the birth of Lord Ganesha. This event, also known as Ganesh Chaturdashi, Vinayak Chaturdashi, or Ganesh Chaturthi, is one of the most important festivals in the country. India commemorates Diwali with grandeur and zeal. It will be observed from September 19 to September 28 this year. This ten-day event wonderfully remembers Lord Ganesha's birth and gives a valuable occasion for people to gather in prayer, asking blessings for knowledge, wealth, and good fortune.
