3. Bank Holiday in June 2023 in India:

Banks in several states will be closed for 12 days in June 2023, including all Sundays, the second and fourth Saturdays. Bank holidays vary by state.

Before visiting a bank to deposit or exchange Rs 2000 notes, make sure to verify the holiday list in your state. It should be noted that the RBI declared the previous week that its highest-value currency note, Rs 2,000, would be phased out of distribution. Current Rs 2,000 notes can be deposited or changed in banks till September 30, according to the statement.

4. Indian Fair and Festivals in June 2023:

Vaishaka Mahotsavam (June 2 to June 28th): A 28-day celebration in the centre of a deep forest, next to a raging river, is an experience that God's Own Country Kerla can deliver. The Kottiyoor Vysakha Mahotsavam, a festival held by two temples, Akkara Kottiyoor and Ikkara Kottiyoor, takes place in Kannur's hills.

Sant Kabir Jayanti (June 4th): Kabir Jayanti, which is also known as Kabir Praakat Diwas, celebrates the apparition of Kabir, a great poet and mystic saint in India. His writings have had a significant impact on the Bhakti movement. The religious society Kabir Panth acknowledges him as its founding father, and its supporters are known as Kabir Panthis  or Sant Kabirdas' followers.

Tamil Nadu Seed Festival (June 8th): Every year, the Save Our Rice Campaign hosts the Nel Thiruvizha, or Paddy Festival, in Thiruthuraipoondi, Thiruvarur district. It is one of the most extensive seed exchange initiatives in the country. Mapillai Samba, Thanga Samba, Sornamusiri, Kichili Samba, and many other indigenous seed varieties are on show at the event.

CHEYKOR (Parikrama of wisdom) Festival (June 12th): Gelong Doyan Tenzing, a monk, is reported to have started this event in the Sherdukpen district. The day-long festival's major subject depicts the introduction of Chhey/Holy ures of Buddhism. Unlike other festivals, the Cheykor festival, which is likely to take place in June, is a one-day event for Shergaon residents.

Bastar Goncha Festival (June 20th): Bastar Goncha embodies the best of Chhattisgarh and Odisha's diverse cultures. Bastar festivities are important in the local culture and have a captivating beauty. Festivals are observed in the same manner in each of the seven districts that comprise the Bastar division.

Rath Yatra Puri (June 20th): Every year, Puri, Odisha's temple town, celebrates the Festival of Chariots: Chariots of Lord Jagannath, also known as Ratha Yatra. The presiding deities of Puri's main temple, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, are taken from the temple in a ceremonial procession to their chariots with the heavenly wheel - Sudarshana Chakra. The massive, colourfully decorated chariots are drawn by a swarm of worshippers on the bada danda, the majestic avenue leading to the Gundicha Temple, which is located two miles to the north.

International Yoga Day (June 21st): Yoga is a 5,000-year-old Indian tradition that integrates physical, mental, and spiritual activities in order to create body-mind harmony. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly designated June 21st, 2014, as the International Day of Yoga.
