1st December: World AIDS Day – The goal of World AIDS Day, which is commemorated on December 1st each year, is to increase public awareness of HIV/AIDS, remember those who have died from the disease, and provide support for those who are still infected. It acts as a crucial forum for information, advocacy, and teamwork in the battle against HIV/AIDS. It was initially observed in 1988.
4th December: Indian Navy Day – Every year on December 4, Indian Navy Day is observed to honour the Indian Navy's remarkable achievements and contributions. It celebrates the anniversary of Operation Trident, which displayed India's naval supremacy during the Indo-Pak War in 1971. The purpose of Navy Day is to increase public understanding of the Indian Navy. On this day, parades, navy meetings, and other public activities take place.
7th December: Indian Armed Forces Flag Day – On December 7th, the Indian Armed Forces Flag Day is observed as an homage to the bravery and sacrifices of the country's armed forces. 25th December: Christmas Day – Every year on December 25, Christians throughout the world observe Christmas Day to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. It's a season for joyful customs, giving gifts, and sharing cheer and kindness.

Hornbill Festival (December 1 to December 10): An annual cultural event called the Hornbill Festival takes place in Nagaland, India, usually in the first week of December. It includes traditional music, dancing, artwork, food, and crafts as a way of honouring the rich cultural history of the Naga tribes. The celebration, which is centred around inter-tribal harmony and cultural preservation, is named after the big hornbill.
Galden Namchot Festival (December 7): A prominent Buddhist festival known as Galden Namchot is observed throughout Tibet and the Himalayan areas. The anniversary of Tsongkhapa's birth and parinirvana (death), the founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, happens on the 25th day of the 10th month in the Tibetan calendar. During the festival, candles are lit and gifts are given in remembrance of Tsongkhapa's teachings and contributions to Tibetan Buddhism.
Poush Mela (December 23 to December 25): An annual cultural event called Poush Mela is held at Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India.
