How to Cook Kidney Beans (Rajma)?

Ingredients:
- Kidney beans: 500 grams
- Desi Ghee: 2 tbsp
- Tomato: 5-6 finely chopped
- onion: 2-3 finely chopped
- Ginger garlic paste: 2 tsp
- Green chilli – 3-4
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Turmeric- 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – 2 teaspoons
- Big cardamom – 2
Recipe/Method:
- First, soak the kidney beans overnight.
- Next morning, boil it for 5-10 minutes.
- After it boils well, take out all the water.
- After this again add fresh water, salt and black cardamom in the cooker and let it cook for 2 whistles.
- Now add desi ghee to a pan. Now when the ghee becomes hot, add ginger, garlic, and green chili paste to it.
- Now add onion paste and cook till it turns golden brown.
- Now add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and tomato puree.
- Mix all these spices well and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now the masala is ready, add rajma to it, add some water, and cook for 5-7 minutes so that the rajma and masala mix well.
- Now add chopped coriander to it.
- Now serve this delicious Rajma with boiled rice.
