Guava: - Guava may be a common tropical fruit cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions. In 2018, India was the most important producer of guavas, with 45% of the planet total. Their fruits are oval in shape and having light green or yellow skin which contains edible seeds. Guava leaves can be used as herbal tea and the leaf extract is also used as a supplement. Guava fruit appears round or oval in shape and its length is about 5 to 12 cm. Outer surface of Guava fruit can be rough or soft and bitter or sweet in taste. Guava fruit is green in colour when unripe and when it ripens fully it may be yellow or green in colour. The pulp inside the guava fruit is off-white to deep pink colour. Seeds are presented in the central pulp.

Ingredients for Guava Chutney: Guava – 250 gm chopped; salt – As per taste; Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp; Green Chillies – 2 Chopped; Ginger – 1 Tbsp; Chilli Powder – 1 Tbsp; Coriander Leaves – 2 Tbsp
How to make Guava Chutney: Take all the ingredients and put in into a mixer grinder. Make a paste of it and it's ready for serve.
Guava Juice Recipe:
Ingredients for Guava Juice: Guava; Sugar – 3 tbsp; Lime H=Juice and Mint Leaves – ¼ tbsp; Ice Cubes;
How to Make Guava Juice:
- First of all, wash the guavas and cut them into pieces. Put these pieces into a mixer and blend them.
- Now add 1 cup of water to it and grind again. Don’t grind too much.
- Add this pulp into a juice strainer. Take extracted pulp into a bowl.
- Now add sugar, lemon juice into it. Now stir it properly. You can adjust the consistency of the juice by adding water to it.
- You can add Mint leaves to it. Your Guava Juice is ready to serve.
Guava Curry or Amrood Ki Sabji:
Ingredients for Guava Curry: Guava – 4-5; Green Chilli, Ginger, Curd – ¼ cup; Oil – 2 tbsp; Hing, Coriander Powder, Red Chilli, Cumin Seed, Turmeric Powder, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Salt, Coriander leaves, Sugar.
Recipe for Guava Curry:
- First of all, heat the oil into a pan and add cumin seed into it.
- Now add ground masala, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric powder, coriander powder, and cook these. Now add curd into it and roast it for 3-4 minutes.
- Now add chopped guava, sugar, salt, raisins, and cashew into the masala. Stir it well and let it cook for few minutes.
- Add some water to it as per requirement and let it boil. After that cook it for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
- Here is guava curry is ready for serve.
